Thousands of people packed Juneau’s Centennial Hall for Sealaska Heritage Institute’s Celebration, a dance and cultural festival held every two years, beginning in 1982.

The four-day event featured roughly 1,800 dancers, primarily from Southeast Alaska. The festival also welcomed performers from around the world, including Hālau Kamehameha Kapālama of Hawaii and Te Ara Kuaka of Auckland, New Zealand.

The festival began Tuesday, June 2 and concluded Saturday evening, June 6, 2026.
