Campaign season is in full swing! In the lead up to November elections, Alaska Public Media is providing comprehensive coverage with the aim of clarifying the candidates’ positions so Alaskans can make informed decisions when they vote.

Our news team has been very busy in recent weeks profiling candidates and issues on the minds of Alaskans in the lead up to the high-stakes election. We’re focused on the issues that matter to you like affordability, education funding and fisheries management.
We are featuring all four candidates for governor on . Republican candidate Treg Taylor was the guest on Sept. 15 and Republican candidate Bernadette Wilson will be the guest on Oct. 13, Democratic candidate Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins will be featured on Oct. 20 and Republican candidate Dave Bronson will be the guest on Oct. 27. Also in October, Alaska Public Media will feature three live debates with the candidates for governor, U.S. House and U.S. Senate. We’re producing as a joint production with Alaska’s News Source.

We hope you’ll tune in. You can catch the debates on statewide radio, TV or stream them online. Here’s the schedule:
- The governor’s debate is Oct. 8 at 7 p.m.
- The U.S. House debate is Oct. 14 at 7 p.m.
- The U.S. Senate debate is Oct. 15 at 7 p.m.
We’re also working on a General Election Voter Guide with the Anchorage Daily News, the Alaska Beacon and KTOO. The guide includes in-depth questionnaires with candidates for the legislature and statewide office.
